New platform login
As part of the migration to the new Smarter SMSF documents platform, we will be launching a new login page for members and users to the platform.
This change will take effect from Monday, 17 March 2025. It will require users to set up a new multi-factor authentication ('2FA') to access the platform, with the old login page to be redirected to the new login.
Importantly, this new login page allows you after completing the 2FA to choose what part of the platform that you wish to access - documents, education, support or the admin console (certain members-only).
We have included details below about the new login page and process:
1. If you are on the Smarter SMSF website, you will go to 'Login > Platform Login' - this will redirect you to the new login page at https://sso.smartersmsf.com
2. From the new login page, you will add your existing email address and password. Press the 'Log In' button
3. You will be required to set up your 2FA method:
- 'One-time' code via a 2FA app - e.g. Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator; or
- 'One-time' code via email
One-time code via email
Setting up via email will allow you to use your login email or alternatively choose a different email address. Select 'I'm ready' when you're done.
You will receive an email with a code to enter to authenticate your login.
Press 'Validate & Save'.
You will have the opportunity to generate a list of backup codes as part of this initial process.
One-time code via Authenticator app
Setting up via email will allow you to use your login email or alternatively choose a different email address. Select 'I'm ready' when you're done.
Accessing the platform
After completing the 2FA set up, you will be redirected to the new 'sites' page that allows you to select what part of the Smarter SMSF platform that you wish to login to.
Choose from the dropdown menu where you wish to be directed to within the Smarter SMSF platform.
Click the 'Go' button and you will be directed into the relevant site within the platform.
Resetting or changing 2FA settings
You have the ability to reset your 2FA settings from this 'sites' page as well, including switching between use an authenticator app and a OTP via email.
Once you have successfully completed this migration to login to the Smarter SMSF platform, you can remove any reference to the 'old' platform within your authenticator app.
